I wish I could tell you the answer to this one. Unfortunately the answer to our customer right now is really none. Just hang tough there are going to be some great options coming out.
The iPad 2 is just around the corner and it really promises to be much greater than the original. We will be at the front of the line purchasing one to provide reviews on how it works in the real business world and in our own words.
Blackberry’s Playbook is very close as well, this is being marketed more for the business professional, and current blackberry users. It will be launched without the capability to connect to your mail, instead pulling the information via your blackberry over bluetooth. We will be purchasing a playbook as soon as possible as well, so you can watch for reviews and information on it.
Dell is creating buzz around a windows 7 tablet, expected to be out sometime later this year. However given microsoft’s past with mobile software, we will be a little more hesitant to recommend one of these units, but we will still pick one up to figure out if it’s worth while for you!
The Android. I’m still reluctant to recommend an android based product for reliable business use. The phone have had alot of problems with connecting to exchange. Now having said that, I expect this to change, the android software is very very young and will develop into something amazing, i’m sure. But I wouldn’t expect to see this until next year.
We predict this to be the year of the Ipad2 and Playbook, possibly with the ipad2 on top.
Check out the chart below for a pretty good comparison of current tablets.
